Wind Turbines
We install Wind systems up to 50kW under MCS.

We offer services in the design, planning processing and installation of micro wind generators, which range from less than one kW to 50kW machines. We currently offer the installation of the following MCS certified turbines to earn you Feed in Tariff.
Bergey 10kW
One of the early and most successful 10kW turbines onto the market, and has proved itself again and again to out perform other 10kW units on the market in both performance and noise levels.
We can install the Bergey with either Monopole or lattice tower variant, depending on your and your planning departments preference. To both generate maximum power and maximum feed in tariff, this is a turbine you'll love!
These turbines are available ex stock in the UK, so there will be no delays after we obtain your planning permission to installing the turbine.
All Bergey turbines are built on strong design basics:
Simplicity. There are only three moving parts, and none are 'wearing' mechanical parts so no replacement maintenance is needed. There are also no complex hydraulics, integrated electronics or mechanical weaknesses that would require a costly maintenance regime.
Reliability. The technology has been developed in 'Tornado Alley' and proven in critical military applications. Clever aeronautical design technology includes robust storm protection, controlled automatically by the wind alone.
Performance. With a low start-up (2.5m/sec), Bergey turbines deliver exceptional 'low wind speed' performance and with no mechanical gearbox present are extremely quiet in operation. All Bergey turbines come with extended warranties. In the case of the 10kw turbine, this is for an industry leading 10 years.
Key product features
Powerflex Blades. Exclusive 'full length reinforced' fibreglass pultruded blades are stronger than steel - and the strongest in the industry. Developed from advanced aeronautical technology, they've received two national design awards.
BW-7 Airfoil. The custom designed airfoil (blade shape) is quieter and more efficient than the more widely used 'catalogue airfoils'.
Neo-10 Alternator. Bergey's custom designed, very low speed 'super magnet' alternator also serves as the blade mounting hub, integrating what are typically two assemblies.
AutoFurl Storm Protection. Bergey's unique fully automatic, high wind protection system is hurricane proven. A robust and well engineered turbine designed for anything the UK climate can throw at it, and more!
An installed cost guide for the 10kW Bergey mounted on a 15mtr tower is £40,000, which includes our planning permission service.
Skystream 3.7
Skystream 3.7 (2.5kW) turbine (minimum of 10m tower height). This American made unit is an ideal 'domestic' turbine, as will provide for most energy needs in a eco based home that will already have 'trimmed' their power requirements to low energy lights and appliances. This turbine is completely modular with all control electronics, inverter, etc inside the turbine body, making the whole installation really starightforward.
As standard, the Skystream 3.7 turbine is supplied with a 10 metre monopole tower. This is simply bolted onto a prepared concrete base and tilted up into position by use with our specialist equipment..
Also included with every turbine is a monitoring unit which wirelessly receives all updates on turbine generation. Your PC will display all the information for the whole of your turbine history enabling you track performance year after year!
A typical complete installation, including survey and planning application is £14,500
Futurenergy 1kW
The non-MCS F
uturenergy one (1kW) turbine (5m tower height), use for battery charging and other small remote site applications. We have installed a number of these for 'off grid' clients to provide battery charging backup to solar PV systems running in parallel.
For some more information on the power generated at different wind speeds click HERE for a data sheet.
The FuturEnergy turbine has a 1.8 metre blade diameter and can be supplied in 3 voltage versions, 12 & 24 for battery charging, plus a 48v version for connecting to a grid tie inverter. Due to the mechanical stresses involved, this turbine cannot be building mounted, (unless on a steel frame structure).
